Privacy overview
Swatchly is a local-first color picker. It is designed to help you capture colors from a page, remember your choices, and unlock Pro tools without requiring an account or sending your work to a server.
What Swatchly stores on your device
- Your preferred color format and display settings
- Recent colors you picked in the extension
- Palette collections and saved preferences
- Whether Pro has been unlocked for your browser profile
These items are stored in your browser's local storage and remain on your device unless you clear them.
Browser permissions and why they are used
- storage: Save settings, history, and Pro state locally in your browser.
- activeTab: Read the current tab so the picker can target the visible page and capture a color.
- scripting: Temporarily inject a small helper script when you use the color-picking experience.
Internet and network use
- Swatchly does not upload your colors, browsing history, screenshots, or personal data to our servers.
- The extension may contact ExtensionPay to verify a Pro purchase and unlock the paid experience.
- Swatchly does not use advertising networks, analytics SDKs, or third-party trackers for normal use.
What Swatchly does not collect
- No email address or account registration is required
- No browsing history is sent to us
- No screenshots or page content are uploaded
- No payment card details are handled by Swatchly directly
